I have to stop and start the torrent to make it seed again. It seeds with good speeds and then just stops seeding after a while it stays in Seeding status but does not do anything. Select (tick) the check box for limit the upload rate to (kB/s): 0 stop under When uTorrent Reaches the Seeding Goal, and set its value to 0. I am not a leech, i don't need a progam to double check me.Hi I was able to seed torrents at high speeds constantly for weeks but now since I updated my client to 3.4.1 few days ago I am unable to continuously seed. Set the minimum number of available seeds under Seeding Goal to 0. In this situation, i would not want a torrent lingering in my seeding window because of pointless anti-leecher rules. I assume uTorrent will give those 2 torrents the same bandwidth. If I have 2 Seeding Torrents which have not reached the seeding goal of 150. The Limit the upload rate setting is NOT checked. Due to the higher number of seeds on many private trackers, it can takes days, even weeks, to seed an 80 MB file 1:1. Let's say I have Minimum Ratio at 150, Minimum seeding time at 0 ( I want for it to seed regardless of time ) and Minimum number of available seeds at 0. If utorrent were to force me to keep a torrent active until i reach 1:1, i would never be able to delete it, even on some popular trackers. For example, i share a lot of files with my friends through BT, we have something of a private network set up and there is no reason for us to expect anyone to seed 1:1, it just isn't necessary. Set the minimum number of available seeds under Seeding Goal to. Set the minimum seeding time under Seeding Goal to 0. The oly reason i don't want the anti-leeching is because there are times when i don't want or need to seed a torrent to 1:1. Set the minimum ratio () under Seeding Goal to 0. You will probably be surpirsed by my ratio. If you actually think i'm a leecher, go ahead and search for dajojo88 on any popular private tracker. unless your secretely leechers of course. If you both share to 1:1 ratio you wont mind it being made to be minimum of 100% then will you. that is what most of them do anyway.uT is good the way it is. The leeching is a product of the user, not the client (at least in uTorrent's case ) if they leech on a good private tracker they wont do it for long, if on a pub, well. Now in the spirit of bittorrent I will share to a 2:1 minimum on the private trackers I use, on pubs I share to a 1:1, that is the right thing to do, but really most dont, at least on pub trackers, if you are on a good private tracker that is virtually never an issue. I pay for the BW i use and I choose to spend it where it benefits me most. BitTorrent just updated and changed my minimum share ratio to 200, whereas previously it has always been 150. The bane of the pub tracker is the leecher/hit-n-runner. Private trackers do a good job of weeding out 'undesirables', that being folk who dont/wont seed/share fairly. Having said that there will always be those that dont cooperate as well as others. I will be honest and say that I dont seed as well on pub trackers as on private but sharing is sharing, bittorrent is based on that so anything that deters one from that would be by nature undesirable. This can be done quite effeciently and there is no reason for utorrent to implement anit-leeching features.well said. The trackers need to be configured correctly to detect leechers and remove their membership from the tracker. It seeds with good speeds and then just stops seeding after a while it stays in Seeding status but does not do anything.I have to stop and s. It is not necessary for the BT client to force users to seed, that is the job of the tracker. Hi I was able to seed torrents at high speeds constantly for weeks but now since I updated my client to 3.4.1 few days ago I am unable to continuously seed. There are certain sites that deserve my upload bandwidth and others that simply deserve for me to give back what i can (i maintain about 1.0 on public and above 5.0 on private). I myself would find it quite annoying to have mininum upload ratios that i have to maintain. The Minimum ratio field behaves identically to the respective option in the default queueing preferences, but affects only the torrent job(s) whose properties are being edited. If ppl dont like the anti leeching features and dont use the program because of it then thats good, it obviously means that they are leechers themselves. Seeding Goal Override default settings tells µTorrent to override the default queueing settings for the selected torrent job(s).
